Egg Maraca With Handle

A traditional favourite and must have in all education settings. These natural style maracas belong to the instrument group known as percussion.  The extended handles allow players to hold them with ease. When shaken the seeds against the smooth timber outer casing create a delicate, soft sound. 

Maracas are usually played in pairs. They have, and are, used in religious and sacred ceremonies around the world particularly in dance or healing rituals. Maracas provide children with an opportunity to develop and refine aural and expressive skills through exploration, experimentation and performance.
