Heuristic Play Bundle - Orange

Heuristic baskets contain a number of open-ended play materials! This Bundle includes items of different sensory feel in all different shades of Orange!

Open-ended play materials have multiple uses and provide endless amounts of play. They allow children to make choices, express their creativity and support their independence. They provide opportunities for children to engage in critical thinking and problem-solving while fostering imagination and exploration.

By exploring open-ended materials children will build, sort, design, manipulate, arrange and stack in a variety of different ways. Through this play we see emerging innovators, designers, explorers, artists and collaborators.

Open-ended play:
- Targets key areas of the brain.
- Promotes self-directed independent play.
- Allows children to construct, deconstruct and reconstruct
theories.
- Provides play where the child is in charge.
- Gives children a sense of accomplishment as there is no right or
wrong way to use them
